Lampard Inquiry: mother says son died in ‘hell on Earth’ mental health facility

A mother has told a public inquiry into mental health deaths that the facility where her 20-year-old son died was “hell on Earth”.
Melanie Leahy said her life had been “totally destroyed”.
The Lampard inquiry is looking into more than 2,000 deaths in Essex over two decades, and is the first of its kind.
This week it’s hearing statements from families who lost loved ones.
